Garlic and Onion Prawn

Ingredients

  • 500 Gram Prawn/ King Prawn – remove the Prawn head
  • 500 Gram Onion – finely chopped
  • 10-12 Garlic Cloves – chopped
  • 2 Small Red Chill – chopped in round shape
  • 2 Tsp – Red Chilli Powder
  • 3-4 Drops Lemon Juice
  • 5 Gram Coriander/ Dill – finely chopped

Preparation

  • For about 5 Min. boil the Prawn in hot water then drain water, peel prawn skin and keep aside
  • Heat oil in a Pan, add onion and saute it on medium heat then add chopped garlic, chopped red chilli, salt and pepper and red chilli powder adding 2 cups of water
  • Simmer the sauce on medium flame for 20 Min. cover and cook till the onion becomes glossy and tender, you will see oil releasing from the sides and consistency in gravy
  • Then add the Prawn one by one in the Gravy adding lemon juice, stir and simmer  for 5-7 Min. on low flame
  • Once ready, sprinkle coriander / Dill on top.

Preparation Time – 1 Hour

Once ready, you can serve with Plain boiled/ steamed Rice, Pulau, Cheuura/ beaten Rice, Roti, Polenta, every variety of Bread or however you like it!
